We are off to see some sights today and we spotted some camels off to the side of the road. Since that’s on our list of “must do’s”, we stopped and the kids each got a short ride. They look like they would be very comfortable to ride across the desert for a long trip. LOL.
We went to the Dead Sea and this time were able to find a place where you can rinse off when you get out. The water is horrible tasting and burns your eyes something fierce. The kids had to get out several times to rinse it out of their eyes.
Everyone but Zane thought it was an amazing experience. He is not a water lover, and took him awhile to be ok with coming into it with us.
He was good with sitting on me while I floated. It is the most crazy thing to just relax and float. You can not sink. The water feels silky and almost thick.
We also visited Masada an amazing cliff mesa. It was an breathtaking view from the top and the site is so full of history. Psalmist David my have been referring to Masada in Ps 31:1-3 when he talks about God being a stronghold. Masada means stronghold.

Remains of Herod’s Palace. This was his winter palace.
